Melbourne CVB and MCEC opens European office

EUROPE – The Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB) has teamed up with the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) to open a new European office in Australia House, London.

The bureau says it took the decision to appoint ‘in-market’ staff in order to grow its business within Europe.

Giles Handford from the bureau’s long-time PR agency representative in the UK, Janet Sealy Partnership (JSP), will be moving to the new office as Business Development Executive. He previously worked on the account for four and a half years under JSP.

MCVB and MCEC says it sees several commercial advantages with this move, including the opportunities presented by partnering with the Victorian State Government through Victoria's agent-general, Sally Capp, to achieve even greater outcomes for Melbourne and regional Victoria.
