Participants at the inaugural American meetings and event exhibition AIBTM will be offered the chance to see Irish rock band U2 play in Baltimore in June.
Organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions, and its partner Visit Baltimore, will make more than 1,000 tickets to both exhibitors and hosted buyers available to see U2 play at the M&T Bank arena via various promotional methods.
“We believe this announcement is a first for the meetings industry,” said AIBTM project manager Steve Knight. “It takes our networking events to a new level and it also gives our stakeholders a chance to see a live concert created in downtown Baltimore.”
U2 will play in Baltimore on 22 June and will be supported by UK pop act Florence and the Machine.
“Not only will visitors be able to experience our convention package while in town for AIBTM, they will experience first-hand our downtown stadiums while seeing U2,” said president and CEO of Visit Baltimore, Tom Noonan.
AIBTM takes place on 21 to 23 June 2011.
