VNU launches Indian poultry show

INDIA - ILDEX India 2011 has launched a new business platform for India’s poultry and aquaculture industry.

The exhibition and conference, organised by NCC Exhibition Organiser and its new Indian Partner Inter Ads Exhibitions, is aimed at India’s poultry and aquaculture industry, with a special focus on Chennai. It will take place at the Chennai Trade Centre and Convention Centre on 15-17 September 2011.

India’s poultry sector is growing thanks to rising incomes and a rapidly expanding middle class, according to the organisers. The emergence of vertically integrated poultry producers has also helped to reduce consumer prices, lowering production and marketing costs.

However, in order for the rising trend to continue the organisers believe it is crucial for India’s poultry and aquaculture industry to upgrade its technical expertise.

“We understand that India is a big country. Technological advancement and industrial production for both poultry and aquaculture industry vary from region to region,” said general manager of NCC Exhibition Organiser Ladda Mongkolchaivivat. “For the upcoming ILDEX India 2011 our focus will be in Chennai, which is one of the fastest growing cities in the world and the capital of Tamil Nadu, which is one of India’s main production bases for both poultry and aquatic products.”

ILDEX India is supported by VNU Exhibitions Europe, the organiser of the VIV Exhibitions in the animal husbandry industry. VNU is also organising VIV India 2012 together with NCC and Inter Ads.
