MALAYSIA - The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre has been awarded the Gold International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC) Quality Standards certification.
The centre becomes the first in Malaysia to receive such an award and is now one of only 12 AIPC centres in the world to have successfully achieved this certification following the completion of its external audit.
"The certification recognises the way our team performs and operates within every aspect of the business and should now be a source of pride,” says the centre’s GM Datuk Peter Brokenshire.
The standard was developed to identify and evaluate 10 key areas of convention centre performance.
"With more centres and destinations coming into the market every year, the question of how a client can assess the capabilities of any given product is becoming more and more important,” said AIPC President Edgar Hirt.
