AUSTRALIA – Reed Exhibitions has announced the launch of Mining and Engineering Western Australia (MEWA), to take place in Perth from 5 to 7 July 2011.
The event is organised by Reed Mining Events, which organises exhibitions including AIMEX in Sydney every four years, the Queensland Mining and Engineering exhibition, and Kalgoorlie’s Goldfields Mining Expo, both held every two years.
Combining an exhibition with a conference programme, MEWA will take place at the Perth Conference and Exhibition Centre.
“As Australia’s largest mining state, there has been strong demand for Reed Mining Events to bring its exhibition formula to Western Australia’s capital,” said Reed Exhibitions’ Australia group exhibitions director, John Gorton.
“Western Australia’s resources sector – both suppliers and end-users – have been keen to see a professionally organised, properly accountable, transparent and fully audited mining exhibition based in Perth,” he added.
