INDIA - Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India has appointed Raj Manek as its new managing director.
Manek has exhibition industry experience in Asia, Russia and Europe, and began his career with P&O Exhibitions, which owned London’s Earls Court and Olympia exhibition venues. He had also worked with Reed Exhibitions, ITE Group and Expomedia Group. He joined Messe Frankfurt in 2009.
“As MD, he will give our Indian operation a new direction,” said Stephan Buurma, MD of Messe Frankfurt Asia and director of Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India. “This will help us fulfil the potential that exists in this exciting and challenging market.”
Manek replaces Shammi Nagpal, whose service agreement ends at the beginning of 2011.
