Tourism Northern Ireland to host showcase in New York

N. IRELAND – Tourism minister Arlene Foster has announced a major showcase of Northern Ireland to be held in New York’s Grand Central Terminal.

The exhibition, Experience Northern Ireland, will run from September 24 to 29 in association with National Museums Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Belfast Visitor and Convention Bureau.

“New York commuters and visitors to the city will get a taste of what Northern Ireland has to offer as a tourism and business tourism destination,” said Foster. “The exhibition will showcase the best in Northern Irish culture, music, entertainment and food.”

The showcase forms part of a three-year programme by Tourism Ireland to raise awareness of Northern Ireland and its Titanic heritage in New York.

The event will also host a Titanic exhibition, featuring a replica hull of Belfast’s most famous ship, including interactive storyboards and screens as well as illustrated talks and guides.
