Interzoo sees rise in visitors and exhibitors in 2010

GERMANY - Animal trade show Interzoo 2010 has announced positive results for its visitor and exhibitor numbers.

The biennial exhibition, which took place last month, saw 38,324 trade visitors from 115 countries attend, up three per cent on 2008. The event hosted 1,502 exhibiting companies, which is four per cent up on last time.

“This year’s exhibitors were extremely satisfied with the contact opportunities and the willingness of their business partners to make decisions and place orders,” says chairman of the Interzoo exhibition committee, Hans-Jochen Büngener.

The countries with the largest shares of the visitors were Germany (14,475), Italy (1,923), France (1,360), the Netherlands (1,203), the Czech Republic (1,141) and Great Britain with 1,033.
