Audited figures show EIBTM growth

EUROPE - European meetings and incentive event EIBTM confirms its 2009 edition had an audited visitor number of 8,170 – the largest in the show’s history.

The total figure represents a small 0.5 per cent increase on 2008. Around 7,500 people were visitors and hosted buyers, with the remainder split between VIPs, speakers, members of the press and students.

"These official figures prove the importance the meetings industry continues to place on EIBTM. We are already looking at how we can enhance the event taking into account feedback from all our stakeholders," says head of marketing and buyer programmes for Reed Travel Exhibitions, Mandy Torrens.

Torrens also confirmed the dates for EIBTM 2010 as 30 November to 2 December 2010 in Barcelona, Spain.
