Belgium - Belgium-based company ExpoPolis is launching a 3D online exhibition centre that it says will offer exhibition organisers products and services for the ‘organisation of virtual trade fairs and congresses’.
A spokesperson for the company says: “The platform is intended to foster interactivity, quality exchanges and the long-term archiving of information: direct access to company websites, documentation that can be both downloaded and archived online, even after the trade fair has ended, and links to social networking sites and chat rooms.”
The online exhibition centre follows similar launches this summer of virtual exhibitions by BusinessGlobal, which is hosting a virtual trade fair titled The Best of China, and The Track and Trace Virtual Trade Show, launched by UBM and technology solutions company AIM.
The ExpoPolis virtual centre was designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer H and is made up of eight pavilions, each dedicated to different sectors.
