New head for NürnbergMesse Greek subsidiary

Thanos Panagoulias (pictured) has been named to succeed Nikos Choudalakis as managing director of FORUM S.A, NürnbergMesse Group’s Greek subsidiary company.

Choudalakis, who founded the company, handed over the reins after 32 successful years on 1 December and will retire from business operations.

NürnbergMesse Group CEO Dr Roland Fleck said he was looking forward to working with the subsidiary’s new head: “Thanos Panagoulias is taking over at the helm of our Greek subsidiary as a very experienced tradefair manager. He not only has an excellent network within his home market, but will contribute a great deal of expertise from companies that operate internationally.”

Fleck’s joint CEO Peter Ottmann added: “In Nikos, NürnbergMesse Group is losing FORUM’s founder, who has built the company steadily since 1988 to become the Number 1 in Greece. We want to thank him very warmly for his successful work, and are glad that he’ll support Thanos and remain closely associated with FORUM.”

Panagoulias has been working at FORUM for 14 years, most recently as commercial director and is greatly experienced in the international industry.

NürnbergMesse Group is one of the 15 largest exhibition companies in the world and has 15 subsidiaries and affiliates. The company employs more than 1,000 people at eleven locations in Germany, Brazil, China, India, Italy, Greece, Austria and the USA.
