IFEMA Madrid, organiser of exhibitions and events in its venue in the Spanish capital, has formed an alliance with Korean operator BEXCO to explore and develop business opportunities.
This landmark collaboration agreement is a pivotal step in IFEMA Madrid’s internationalisation strategy and opens up new avenues for collaboration and promotion of its trade fairs and events in Asia.
Executive vice-president of IFEMA Madrid, Daniel Martínez, and the CEO of Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO), Soo Deuk Sohn, signed a co-operation agreement that paves the way for the two trade fair operators to collaborate to promote and develop fairs and events on their premises.
IFEMA Madrid’s agreement with the South Korea exhibition and convention centre also establishes strategic alliances to foster and increase business opportunities among both operators’ customers and it is intended also to promote Madrid and Busan in each other’s countries.
Under the agreement, the partners will co-organise events in key technical sectors such as aerospace, drone technology, robotics, independent mobility, and geospatial mobility.
IFEMA Madrid has so far developed such agreements but mainly in Latin America and the new venture is a signal of its intent to explore new projects and means of business collaboration in Asia.
