Janet Street Porter CBE has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for day two of International Confex. The popular media commentator, journalist and broadcaster will take to the stage for the keynote session of the day, however there will also be an additional visual element to her speech with 3D and holographic experts Musion adding theatre to the stage throughout the two-day show.
Street Porter has been in the media spotlight for almost four decades, establishing her credentials as a commentator at the BBC, Channel 4, and as editor at large of The Independent on Sunday. Currently she is a regular panellist on the ITV lifestyle and chat show, Loose Women.
She is also a regular speaker on business and will bring some of her experience as a business leader to the stage at International Confex.
“We’re delighted to welcome Janet to Confex. As an internationally renowned business leader and a specialist in the media and creative industries, she really fits the profile of our audience and is a person they can both learn from and be inspired by,” commented Liz Agostini, event director, International Confex. “We have a great partnership with Musion, so are looking forward to how they add something to this session, but also how they will create a multimedia world within the keynote theatre throughout the two days.”
The session will take place on day two, and is part of a wide variety of content on show at International Confex; the largest conference programme in the UK events industry. While Street Porter’s speech will appear to be given in person at the show, Musion will also bring some additional elements into play that will add to the engagement of the session for those in attendance.
International Confex takes place 28 February – 1 March at Olympia London. The show recently released visitor growth figures of over 35% for its 2017 show and is expecting another boost for its 2018 outing.
