Comexposium Americas has appointed Jaime Salazar (pictured) as managing director for the Latin America region. Most recently, he was general director, Mexico, for Informa Markets. He brings many years of global experience in the events industry to his new role.
Salazar is a prior president of the Mexican Tradeshow Association, AMPROFEC, and prior president of the Mexican Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) Industry Council.
Steve Corrick, CEO of the Americas for Comexposium commented: “It is a pleasure to be working with Jaime again. He is joining our management team and bringing his track record of success and entrepreneurship in many events’ vertical markets. This is fantastic news for the business throughout the Americas”.
Salazar added that he was “delighted” to be joining Comexposium at this time. “With truly global brands, and as events are returning quickly in the region, we will develop many exciting projects with a renewed value proposition: ‘Intelligent Return of Investment’ for our customers. We have great potential in the region and increasing demand for strong shows”.
Salazar will be based in Comexposium’ s Mexico City office, where it runs shows in the franchise sector. The group also currently has events in the wine production and health care sectors in the LATAM region.
