The seventh edition of PharmaLytica, organised by Informa Markets in India, took place in a hybrid format for the first time, with the physical part held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre on 13-14 August 2021. The online part lasted 13-20 August 2021.
The two-day in-person event was inaugurated by individuals such as Shri Ravi Uday Bhaskar, director general of the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India; Shri Chakravarthi AVPS, global ambassador of the World Packaging Organisation; Shri Madan Mohan Reddy, whole time director of Aurobindo; Muhd Suleman Kakar, consul general of Afghanistan, and Rahul Deshpande, group director of Informa Markets in India.
The Expo was supported by associations, including the Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) and Confederation of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry (CiPi). The show, along with its knowledge forum, aimed at finding solutions for industry issues such as increased packaging and freight costs.
Speaking on PharmaLytica 2021, Yogesh Mudras, managing director of Informa Markets in India, said: “The pharma industry is projected to reach USD$65bn by 2024 and $120bn by 2030. This year, PharmaLytica, in its Hybrid format, focused on the lab and analytical equipment, pharma packaging solutions and pharma machinery subsectors. With future labs coming into place, the industry anticipates a boom in the pharma lab equipment market in the coming years.”
