The Finnish capital is strengthening its position as a city promoting health innovation by partnering in the Radical Health Festival Helsinki, to be held in June. The new European health festival will be held at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre (Messukeskus), 12-15 June 2023. Messukeskus is organising it jointly with healthcare event specialist organiser éditohealth.
The themes of the Radical Health Festival Helsinki are artificial intelligence, mental health, the effects of climate change on health, active ageing, cybersecurity, innovation, and the digitalisation of the health sector. These are themes that are also promoted by the Health Capital Helsinki (HCH) cluster, which is built on the strong science campuses in the Helsinki region.
The event steering group is chaired by the executive director of the social services, health care and rescue services division of the city of Helsinki, Juha Jolkkonen.
“The Radical Health Festival Helsinki is a great way for us to network with professionals in the field and to hear about new opportunities in digital services. We definitely want to be among the forerunners in the use of digital services,” said Jolkkonen.
“The Radical Health Festival Helsinki brings together European professionals in digital health. We see the event as an opportunity to strengthen the co-operation between companies, researchers and the entire health-sector ecosystem, and to support start-ups and promote the internationalisation of their business. Finland has a lot to offer, as we are among the leading countries in the field of digitalisation and innovation in the health sector,” said Jussi Kivikari, the Messukeskus business manager in charge of the event.
The Radical Health Festival Helsinki offers participants a content programme, while its exhibition offering simultaneously makes it a strong commercial platform for meetings between investors, buyers and solution providers.
