Mack-Brooks Exhibitions, organiser of Railtex and Infrarail in the UK, confirms Rho Fiera Milano, Milan, as the venue for its EXPO Ferroviaria, 28-30 September 2021. Italy’s only showcase for railway technologies, products and systems will open its doors to the sector’s key players, including over 180 exhibitors from 14 countries. Taking part will be Alstom Ferroviaria SpA, Colas Rail SpA, Stadler Rail Management AG, Mermec, Knorr Bremse Rail System Italia Srl, ABB SpA, Hitachi Rail STS SpA, Lucchini RS SpA, Wabtec Corporation, Salcef Group SpA, Vossloh Locomotive GmbH, Vossloh Sistemi Srl and Siemens SpA, among others.
The European Commission has identified 2021, the European year of Rail, as an essential step towards ecological transition, so the Milan event represents an opportunity for professionals in the railway sector to share trends, launch new products, and meet face-to-face with customers, suppliers and business partners.
To underline the importance of infrastructure within the industry, a key feature of the exhibition will be an on-tracks display, showcasing products and equipment.
EXPO Ferroviaria will also include an intense programme of conferences, seminars, and exhibitor presentations. The conferences will be held in Italian and include events such as ‘The Lyon-Turin railway line 150 years after the Frejus tunnel: speed and safety under the Alps’, organised by TELT, 28 September, and ‘The ecological revolution in rail transport’ hosted by Alstom Ferroviaria, 29 September.
The SIG Conference will also be held on 29 and 30 September, with two sessions: ‘Industrialisation in the processes of creating underground infrastructures’ and ‘Industrialisation in the maintenance and adaptation processes of underground infrastructures’.
EXPO Ferroviaria 2021's show partners represent both the supply sectors and leaders from the primary rail services in Italy, and include: Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Il Gruppo FNM, FERROVIENORD, ASSIFER– Italian Railway Industry Association, ANIAF - National Association of Railway Track Construction, ASSTRA – Transport Association, CIFI – Board of Italian Railway Engineers, D.R.
