Easyfairs acquires Kuteno plastics trade fair

International event organiser Easyfairs has announced the acquisition of the Kuteno trade fair in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany, adding to its portfolio of events in the plastics industry.

“Kuteno is a success story. We will write the next chapters leveraging the experience of Easyfairs, our advanced technology platform and the synergies within the Easyfairs portfolio,” said Roland Brand, Easyfairs DACH Region MD.

A year ago, Easyfairs already acquired KPA – Kunststoff Produkte Aktuell – in Ulm, Germany. With the further acquisition of Kuteno, Easyfairs is again bringing together Kuteno and KPA, two trade fairs that are positioned at different points in the plastics value chain and share a similar concept as well as overlapping exhibitors and partners.

Horst Rudolph, managing director of Kuteno and co-founder of Kuteno and KPA, said the co-operation was the logical next step in the development of the trade fair: “Kuteno can be optimally expanded by working together with a strong and innovative partner like Easyfairs.”

As Easyfairs’ head of cluster, Babette Bell and her team will be in charge of both Kuteno and KPA-Kunststoff Produkte Aktuell. Easyfairs will continue to expand and strategically develop the strengths of Kuteno with Horst Rudolph, focusing especially on its proximity to industry and the high level of service provided by the event,” she said.

Easyfairs has acquired other regional trade fairs such as the All About Automation series and FMB Zuliefermesse Maschinenbau and has also expanded tits product portfolio through various new launches. Easyfairs organises more than 20 trade fairs annually in  the DACH region.
