The 29th edition of the Dubai International Pharmaceutical Technologies Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT 2024) brought together some of the brightest minds, innovators, and industry leaders in the sector, last month, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The 2024 edition was testament to the growing significance of the Middle East and Africa region in the global pharmaceutical landscape. Drawing more than 32,000 visitors and participants from 95 countries, DUPHAT 2024 stood as the largest gathering of pharmaceutical companies in the region. With over 1,300 exhibiting companies, organisers said it was the most expansive edition ever. The show also boasted 120 conference lectures and 16 workshops. From AI and technological innovations to new drugs, access, affordability, and accountability, DUPHAT 2024 addressed a wide spectrum of topics that are shaping the future of healthcare and patient care.
Organisers reported a “significant volume” of commercial deals generated over the course of three days, value at over AED8.5 billion.
DUPHAT is organised annually by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions – a member of INDEX Holding, and is supported by Dubai Health Authority, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences, European Society of Clinical Pharmacy, Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia and the European Society of Oncology Pharmacy.
