Global meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, Cvent has announced two acquisitions that will boost its event marketing and management platform offering. It has acquired Jifflenow, a B2B 1:1 and group appointments scheduling solution and iCapture, a lead capture solution that has been active on the market for nearly 12 years. Financial details of the deals were not disclosed but the moves are more evidence of the firepower the Blackstone-owned company now has.
CEO Reggie Aggarwal (pictured) said the acquisitions “highlight our continued commitment to innovation, and we're extremely excited to welcome the teams to Cvent”.
Both acquisitions are likely to impact the trade show side of Cvent’s offer in particular.
Jifflenow’s technology will enable Cvent to offer clients better networking options and help maximise time on the trade show floor. As well as improving the number and quality of appointments, the Jifflenow technology will facilitate conversations to be tracked and actioned after the event ends.
iCapture’s solution should give Cvent more intelligent and efficient lead capture onsite. The combination of the appointments, networking and lead capture, Cvent hopes, should lead to faster and more efficient conversion of leads with greater visibility.
“The Jifflenow team is excited to continue its mission to transform meeting automation as an integral part of Cvent,” said Hari Shetty, CEO and founder of Jifflenow. The company had already been partnering to an extent with Cvent, but its product will now be able to leverage Cvent’s global scale and resources.
“iCapture was founded with a single goal in mind: helping organisations capture those engagements and turn them into revenue-generating opportunities,” said Brady Roberts, president and co-founder of the company. “With organisations investing more in trade shows to reconnect with customers and prospects, now’s a great time to join the Cvent team and add our best-in-class solutions to their platform.”
“Over the past nearly 25 years, we’ve helped power global meetings and events programmes, and these acquisitions highlight our continued commitment to innovation and delivering the best-in-class solutions our customers need to drive their businesses forward,” said Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent.
Cvent, the largest event tech company in the world, will be showcasing its portfolio of exhibition and conference solutions at its Cvent CONNECT 2024 conference, 10-13 June in San Antonio, Texas.
