ExCeL London appoints general counsel

ExCeL London has announced the appointment of Caroline Grange in the new role of general counsel. The role has been newly created, with a venue spokesperson saying it will allow ExCeL “to manage more legal and contractual work in-house”.

Grange trained with Osborne Clarke, before joining DLA Piper, a top 10 Global firm, where she worked as a senior associate in the corporate team. In 2015, she moved in-house as general counsel with LabTech, where she had responsibility for legal matters across the group, including delivering on key funding and development projects.

Jeremy Rees, CEO, ExCeL London, said: “I am delighted that Caroline has joined the team at ExCeL. Her breadth of experience will support our plans for growth; both in terms of our core business, as well as our ambition to bring world class entertainment and attractions, to the Royal Docks, in the future. I wish Caroline every success in her new role and look forward to working with her.”

Grange added: “With ExCeL’s track record for delivering successful events, it’s a very exciting time to be joining the team. The business is extremely varied and has a real enthusiasm for innovation and development.  I look forward to working with the team and being involved in ExCeL’s future plans.”
