Bellavita Expo returns to London for its sixth year, featuring an expanded showcase of food and beverages from across the Mediterranean region.

From 7-8 November 2019, Bellavita Expo will once again take place the Business Design Centre, in the heart of London’s Angel, for its revamped flagship event following a year of successful exhibitions across the world, including Amsterdam, Warsaw, Hamburg, Chicago, Toronto, Mexico City, Bangkok and China.

2018’s event in London was an immense success, continuing the exponential growth of the expo year-on-year. Over 6,000 professionals were in attendance, over 1,000 new products were exhibited and over 300 top buyers judging the annual Bellavita Awards. 92% of guests reported that they intend to revisit, and 90% believed the Expo stood out compared to similar events.

This year, Bellavita Expo is set to exceed even this, with an exhibition introducing visitors to a far greater range of quality food and drinks from the likes of Spain, Croatia and Slovenia. From iconic brands to lesser-known artisanal wonders, over 350 exhibitors will be in attendance, presenting an expansive range of 10,000 individual products, including 1,200 making their debut in the UK market. Among Bellavita’s newest offerings will be products from 85 Spanish companies, providing visitors with more variety than ever before.

Though the scope of the event has greatly expanded, all the hallmarks of the carefully selected products on display remain – attention to detail, authentic flavours and high-quality ingredients, in everything from essentials such as fresh dairy goods and extra-virgin olive oils, to gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian alternatives.

Aldo Mazzocco, CEO, says: “In partnership with industry leaders Veronafiere S.p.A. (Vinitaly) and Fiere di Parma S.p.A. (Cibus), Bellavita Expo will offer guests the chance to engage directly with producers and experts of the trade. We are enhancing our visitors’ experience with a wider selection of Mediterranean products while also working with the most respected opinion leaders in the trade to bring to buyers the most up to date news and insights, live industry debates and exclusive product tasting”.

Five academies, each respectively dedicated to Food, Wine, Beer, Mixology and Pizza, will host a series of in-depth talks, debates and masterclasses exploring both current and upcoming trends in the industry, led by 84 key speakers from throughout the sector. “Bellavita is always a huge opportunity to learn and find new brands. I cannot wait to be part of it again” says Giorgio Locatelli, Michelin-starred chef and judge on MasterChef Italia, who will be returning to the Bellavita stage this year to share his industry knowledge, among other speakers.

BeWine, Bellavita Expo’s wine academy, will host exclusive wine tasting and food pairing masterclasses, with not-to-be-missed Mediterranean organic, volcanic, and sparkling wines with Masters of Wine and WSET-qualified sommeliers. Angela Mount, event ambassador and wine presenter, says Bellavita “truly represents the spirit of Italy, and the quality of the produce both in food and wine, and is now attracting impressive audiences from all over the world. I am delighted to be working with them again.”
