Sandown Park Racecourse will host Europe’s largest classic Volkswagen show, VolksWorld, 24-25 March 2018.
VolksWorld typically attracts thousands of people from all over the UK and overseas, many of whom will use their campervans and tents to camp on the site overnight.
Adrian Vaughan, VolksWorld organiser, said: “Sandown Park is at the heart of VolksWorld, the venue continues to support our growing number of attendees and new ideas.”
Utilising more than 80 per cent of the Sandown Park site, VolksWorld takes on a festival feel with more than 100 sale stands, clubs, refreshment stalls, music, entertainment and the iconic Volkswagen Campervan display taking centre stage. An area of the site is dedicated to young families, with a ‘Kids-Zone’ which includes interactive games, such as a Campervan Scalextric-style race.
The star of this year’s show will be a jet powered campervan named ‘Oklahoma Willy’, which can reach speeds of more than 140mph. Visitors will also get the chance to see a collection of rare and iconic VW Hebmüllers, which were last produced in 1953.
