Turkey and the surrounding region’s most extensive B2B meetings industry show returns to celebrate its 5th birthday 21-23 February, 2018, in Istanbul.
ACE of M.I.C.E. Exhibition by Turkish Airlines (AME) may not have the catchiest motto: ‘Everything You Need For Your Meetings & Events Organisation Is At ACE of M.I.C.E. Exhibition!’ but is boasting 160 sponsors and partners, as well as 220 national and international exhibitors - 35 of which are new.
Seven new destination exhibitors will line up to meet with an estimated 15,000+ professional visitors under one roof.
Organisers reported the hosted buyer applications had broken all records, with over 750 set to attend from 40 countries.
A B2B online appointment system is designed to facilitate face-to-face meetings. AME’s group coordinators say 70% of buyers are renewed every year and that AME 2018 is ready to host 9,800 B2B appointment over the three days.
Meeting and event technology will provide an overarching backdrop topic for the event, which will have a special ‘TECH DAY’ devoted to exploring trends.
The tech programme will have two strong sub-themes of innovation and management and there will be practical and personal development sessions for every level of event professional.
Fifteen sessions over three days will introduce 30 internationally known speakers, including Mat Johnson, former Nike global event director, and Bora Aksoylu, former Red Bull and Nike Turkey event manager.
An interactive session entitled ‘Top Disruptive Technology Trends Transforming the Events and Tradeshow Industries’ will be presented by Corbin Ball who says technology is likely change events more in the next five years than it has in the past 15. He will advise on strategies to prepare for these changes.
Another speaker on the event technology theme at the show will be Dr James Morgan of Event Tech Lab and the University of Westminster. He will explore new logistics and production management technology for better work efficiency, as well as technology to market and manage your events more successfully and enhance attendee engagement.
John Martinez, CEO founder of event registration technology association event management specialist, Shocklogic, will examine the question of keeping clients and attendees fully engaged. Martinez says: “Wondering what technology to use? Worried about money? There’s free stuff out there - so why not use it!” This session will cover different apps and software solutions that will help organisers achieve what they need, including Evernote, Trello, Dropbox, WeTransfer, Zoom, Whatsapp, Apple Wallet/Android Passbook, Toggl and Slack.
Learn how to integrate these apps to streamline your processes, deliver great results, and achieve high ROI.
There will also be a session on how to better position corporate events. This will be aimed at senior decision-makers responsible for planning events in leading international corporations.
