Meetic, Mytaxi, TheFork
The app economy is set to grow 300 per cent in the next 3 years.
AppShow, Europe’s only event dedicated to the App Economy, will inaugurate its first edition in Milan, Italy at the trendy Nhow hotel.
From 4-6 December, Milan will host hundreds of professionals across the mobile, tech and Apps space, attracting speakers from Europe and the world’s digital elite, from BlaBlaCar, Deliveroo, Moovit, and TheFork, to Just Eat, Helpling, Tricount, DriveNow, Mytaxi and Meetic.
The App Economy is currently one of the fastest growing digital sectors, with
3.4bn users, set to double by 2021 and to reach 6.3tn in revenue by the same year.
Anna Paladino, Director at AppShow said: “It’s no surprise that the AppShow picked Europe, and more specifically Italy for its first edition. In a country where 88 per cent of the population owns a smartphone, Milan’s Politecnico University estimates that the Mobile and App economy in Italy represents close to €37bn, 2.3 per cent of the country’s GDP.”
During the three days, speakers will present their strategies and outlooks on topics ranging from mobile cyber security and cognitive computing to big data, robots and Virtual Reality. Attendees can expect a deep dive into some of the most powerful trends driving the App Economy, which have revolutionised the way we consume information and products online.
Roy Bick, co Founder at Moovit, the world’s number one Transit app, and a speaker at the event, said: “The future of big cities and urban development depends on everyone’s ability and willingness to discuss the intersection between technology and mobility and plan for our future. AppShow is a crucial forum for us to share our vision with professionals and influencers who are building the products and services of tomorrow. We are delighted to lend our brand to this new event, dedicated to what we think is currently the most exciting space to watch.”
In early November, AppShow will launch its own App for all attendees offering guests and speakers the ability to check up on AppShow’s agenda and latest news, as well as chat with participants.
