Fadi Sabbagha, founder, EasyCat, says digital and the environment should be top priorities.

EasyCat showcased the world’s first Catalogue Sharing Network at Event Tech Live in London on 9 November because we see the event as the perfect platform to show-off this technology, which aims to transform the business of exhibitions for exhibition organisers, exhibiting businesses and visitors.

My top tips for exhibition organisers and exhibiting businesses are:

  • Reduce your environmental impact. I came up with the idea of EasyCat after leaving an exhibition in Paris, with a bulging bag and my back hurting. I knew I wasn’t the first businessman facing the dilemma of accumulating what seemed like several tons of assorted materials, the majority of which would be binned on exiting the show.
  • Implement better ways of tracking and following up the leads you generate at exhibitions. I spent years trying to figure out how best to summarise with my team back in the office, the connections and leads I had just made. My solution was the creation of a catalogue-sharing network that enables businesses to make their catalogues public. This provides access to Cloud-based engagement analytics to track the reach of a catalogue, actually seeing how many customers engage with it, providing much more reliable metrics for ROI and reach.
  • Embracing the power of digitalisation. It is amazing how, in our digital age, most businesses are still so reliant on paper. With the amount of information we are bombarded with every day, the most effective way to reach your target audience is to go digital, but while most businesses recognise the need to do this, many don’t know how to digitise their content in a way that makes it easily and reliably shareable on any platform.

EasyCat allows users to capture, search and follow catalogues and to create their own bespoke digital catalogues and collections, all via mobile or desktop/mobile web platform. It is then the sharability that really sets EasyCat apart, as users can share their collections with their own community, whether that is a group of company decision makers, business collaborators, or friends.
