ICC Sydney's new board member to handle sustainability

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has appointed Martyn Potter (pictured) to the role of director of building services.Bringing more than 30 years’ experience to the table, Potter will deliver operating strategy for building security, housekeeping, and sustainability across the convention and exhibition centre.

He previously held the position of project director – facilities management at Spotless Group, part of the Daring Harbour Live consortium that is responsible for delivering the project partnership with the NSW Government.

Potter said: “I am thrilled to be involved in something that will offer visitors and Sydneysiders alike the ultimate quality, choice and flexibility, and change the way business events and entertainment are delivered in the city.”

Chief executive officer of ICC Sydney, Geoff Donaghy, said: “Martyn will bring critical knowledge and expertise to ICC Sydney operational team.

“His appointment cements the venue’s leadership team comprised of experienced professionals from across the globe, all dedicated to a common goal and vision.”

The ICC Sydney is due to open in December 2016.
