Experiential agency WRG has appointed Nicola Eyles (pictured) in a newly-created role of global business director.
With more than 15 years’ experience in international marketing, client handling and communication, Eyles will be tasked with developing WRG’s Shell account and strengthening its global presence in the energy sector.
She has worked exclusively within the energy and maritime sectors for almost eight years, holding senior positions both agency and in-house, and will be based at WRG’s London office.
Her most recent role was as head of communications for JLA Media, a niche PR consultancy serving the global maritime and energy industries.
Eyles said: “I hope that my industry knowledge will contribute another dimension to the capabilities of WRG, blending with the formidable skills of the existing team to evolve the service offering we can deliver to clients like Shell.
“For me it is all about understanding a client’s business, not only the way they do business themselves but also the way in which their clients and other stakeholders do. Gaining this insight allows the formation of truly effective communication strategies that add to the success of a business.
