Ticketing technology provider dimedis has won a competitive bid to supply Cologne trade fair organiser Koelnmesse with its ticketing and entrance systems.
Koelnmesse, which organises about 80 events annually, will use the company’s FairMate product to cover its shows’ end-to-end process, from registration and entrance systems to voucher management and cash registers.
The company will be the first to use Fairmate’s new turnstiles and plans to deploy a variety of modules, including Mobileshop, ConfigTool, Cashier/Helpdesk and SelfCheckIn.
Koelnmesse president and chief executive Gerald Böse said the company’s decision to install FairMate was part of its continuous improvement programme, Koelnmesse 3.0. The 15-year investment programme aims to develop the Cologne exhibition grounds, spanning 284,000sq m, into a world leading international trade fair site.
“We are convinced that the system will make things significantly easier for all our customer groups, for example with regard to admission, ticketing and visitor management, and will simplify our internal processes," Bose said.
Wilhelm Halling, managing director at dimedis said: "The strategic partnership with one of the world's largest trade fair organisers is yet another chapter in our company's ongoing success story. We are looking forward to working with Koelnmesse."
Koelnmesse’s best-known trade fairs include food show Anuga, international furnishing show imm cologne, video game fair gamescom as well as the photokina, a leading trade show for the photo and imaging industry.
