Smart technology was a drawcard for record crowds at ISH China and CIHE in Beijing, a leading trade fair for sanitation, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.
Jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) and B&D Tiger Exhibition Co, the trade show attracted 46,836 visitors from 50 countries to the New China International Exhibition Center last month (13-15 May).
Richard Li, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) general manager, said exhibitors embraced the theme of intelligent technology.
“With the Chinese government’s implementation of the Internet Plus strategy, many exhibitors at the fair showcased their latest intelligent HVAC products and solutions, particularly within the smart home and building automation sectors,” Li said.
Show visitor Zhang Qiang, from Macro Gas Appliance Co, agreed: “Intelligent technology is this year’s emerging trend, particularly for smart controls. What caught my attention was an integrated terminal control technology,” Qiang said.
The show’s 2015 edition spanned 90,000 sqm, up 5.9 per cent from last year.
B & D Exhibition Co general manager Li Hongbo said he expected the fair would continue to grow and attract more international visitors.
“I am also extremely pleased with the visitor results we achieved this year, especially for the newly added hall E4, which was dedicated to comfort living and new energies,” Hongbo said.
Among the 1,119 exhibitors were government and industry associations from Germany, Italy, Turkey and the Zhejiang province of China.
Antonino Laspina, trade commissioner for the Italian Trade Commission, said: “With the Chinese market demanding products with higher build quality, the Beijing fair acts as a gateway for Italian companies to tap the increasing needs for high-quality and technologically-innovative products.”
The next edition will be held in May 2016, meanwhile ISH Shanghai & CIHE will be held on 23-25 September.
