Sentinel Exhibitions Asia postpones World Tea and Coffee Expo

ASIA - The second edition of India’s World Tea and Coffee Expo has been rescheduled to a later date, to prevent staging “a mediocre show”.

According to a statement on the organiser's website from Sentinel Exhibitions Asia’s director Mitesh Kapadia, the decision was made in view of the many requests from exhibitors and delegations to postpone to a later date.

The show was due to be held on 6-8 February at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in 2014, and expected to attract more than 100 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors.

The organiser also said that a number of Chinese companies were unable to exhibit due to a clash of dates with the Chinese Spring Festival.

“The tough business conditions prevalent in India currently would also have meant a scaled down or a mediocre show - something which is unacceptable to Sentinel Exhibitions Asia,” said Kapadia.

The organiser said new dates will be announced shortly.
