EUROPE - Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Centre Helsinki has reported 1,107,522 visitors attended exhibitions, congresses, and other events at the centre in 2013.
Last year, 100 exhibitions for different industries were held, attracting 9,492 exhibitors.
Messukeskus also hosted 1,368 meetings, congresses and other corporate events.
The venue claims one million visitors came to visit exhibitions and the remaining 107,522 to other events.
Messukeskus CEO Christer Haglund said the year was “full of action”. In addition to hosting and organising events, the corporate image and indoor facilities went through a complete transformation.
“The Gallery, restaurant world, northern entrance and a number of our meeting facilities were refurbished. Messukeskus also got a new digital signpost system with hundreds of screens, which improves the quality of service for our visitors and creates a totally new form of advertising for our partners,” he said.
The next event to be held at Messukeskus will be the MP 2014 Motorcycle Exhibition on 31 January - 2 February.
