EJ Krause continues expansion into Mexico

AMERICAS - Event management company EJ Krause & Associates (EJK) has expanded its reach into Mexico with the acquisition of Tecno Alimentos Expo.

The food and beverage manufacturing event will co-locate with EJK and Barcelona Fairs’ international food and beverage event Alimentaria Mexico on 3-5 June at Centro Banamex in Mexico City.

According to the organiser, combining the two shows will establish one complete event for all aspects of Mexico’s food and beverage industry, offering over 13,000sqm of exhibition space.

With the events joining forces, more than 14,000 visitors are expected to attend.

“Currently, Mexico’s food and beverage industry is thriving. This is a great opportunity for both events, creating a comprehensive food and beverage marketplace for the industry,” said EJK managing director José Navarro. “The co-site allows the shows to present a wide array of products and services for the industry ranging from raw materials to finished food.

“Additionally, the combined event will now deliver one of the most extensive food and beverage educational programs in Mexico,” he said.

The colocation will reinforce the content of an already very rich program of Alimentaria Mexico with the technical seminar of ingredients, additives, and processing.

The move comes just after the firm’s decision to establish a joint venture on two exhibitions in Mexico with Tarsus

EJK recently announced the launch of its second plastics industry show in Mexico will be postponed until 2015.
