Hong Kong Fashion Week to celebrate 45th year with 1,800 exhibitors

ASIA - The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is expecting more than 1,800 exhibitors at its two fashion shows at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
 
The HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter will celebrate its 45th year of business, running concurrently with the HKTDC World Boutique on 13-16 January.
 
Featured zones on the show flow will include: Denim Arcade, Fashion Jewellery Feast, Infant & Children’s Wear, Men in Style and Salon of Scarves and Shawls. New to this year’s exhibition will be Activewear, Packaging and Design, and Wool & Cashmere.
 
Catwalk shows and group pavilions will be organised by local and overseas industry associations, including the Federation of Hong Kong Footwear, Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, Knitwear Innovation & Design Society, Redress and Japan Fashion Leather Designers, PromPeru Pavilion, The Spanish Textile & Clothing Association and Taiwan Textile Federation.
 
The 2013 edition attracted 1,569 exhibitors, and 22,574 visitors across 36,612sqm of exhibition space.
 
According to the organiser, the HKTDC World Boutique will showcase more than 560 brands from 18 countries and regions, and attract more than 15,000 visitors.
 
The HKTDC reported its autumn fairs brought HK$1.4bn (US$0.18bn) to Hong Kong.
