ASIA - The Asian arm of UBM has claimed the 2013 edition of Marintec China broke records with both exhibitor and visitor numbers for the show held on 3-6 December 2013.
Organised by UBM Asia and the Shanghai Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers, the show attracted 57,886 visitors, up from 50,888 at the previous show in 2011.
The number of exhibitors increased from 1,650 to 1,700 in 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, where the exhibition occupied six halls.
With the theme of “Green Technology, Transformation, Breakthrough”, the Senior Maritime Forum ran alongside the exhibition, providing an in-depth discussion on the topics: Shipping and Ports, Shipbuilding, Ocean Engineering and Marine Finance.
The next edition of Marintec China will be held on 1-4 December 2015 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
