Cosmoprof Asia attracts 10% visitor rise in 2013

ASIA - UBM Asia and co-organiser BolognaFiere have said this year’s Cosmoprof attracted a total of 60,985 visitors, up 10 per cent from 2012.
 
The number of exhibitors also grew 10 per cent with 2,168 companies in 2013. Cosmoprof took place across 76,200sqm of exhibition space at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 13-15 November.
 
“Cosmoprof Asia continues to expand and innovate and remain the only event in the Asia Pacifc region for the global beauty industry,” said BolognaFiere Group president Duccio Campagnoli.
 
Twenty-two country and group pavilions featured in the show, which, according to the organisers, included the largest-ever Korean pavilion with a collection of 190 companies in skincare, make-up, nail, personal care, formulation and packaging solutions.
 
New to the 2013 show was an exhibition area dedicated to Nail & Accessories which had 128 exhibiting companies. Cosmoprof Asia also hosted a live performance by Intercoiffure Mondial president and hair stylist Klaus Peter Och at the Intercoiffure, Vision of the Elite show.
 
“Cosmoprof Asia continues to win accolades from both buyers and suppliers as an excellent forum for business and knowledge,” said Michael Duck, executive vice president of UBM Asia. “It has become the must-attend event in the Asia Pacific region for the global beauty industry.”
 
Cosmoprof will next take place at HKCEC on 12-14 November 2014.
 
UBM said its 2013 revenues reflect continued expansion in new growth markets.
