Australian Gas and Oil unveils new industry zones for 2014

AUSTRALASIA - The organiser of the Australian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) has launched two new zones at the 2014 event, with each providing free three-day seminar programmes.

The Australian arm of Diversified Business Communications is expecting more than 15,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors from 20 countries at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 19-21 February 2014.

The organiser has joined forces with the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) and the Institute of Instrumentation, Control and Automation (IICA) to provide industry insights and trends within the new zones.

AINDT president Ian Hogarth said the new Non-destructive Testing and Condition Monitoring Zone will be targeted at highlighting the critical role that these fields play within the oil and gas industry.

“The AINDT zone and seminar program will be an unmissable feature of AOG 2014 for maintenance and quality assurance professionals,” said Hogarth. “AINDT’s partnership with AOG gives our members the opportunity to showcase the high levels of service and advanced technology available in maintenance and damage assessment, life extension, and fitness for purpose assessment in the oil and gas industry.”

The IICA has launched the second zone at the oil and gas event, the new Condition Monitoring Zone and the Instrumentation, Control and Automation Zone.

“With more than AUD$200 billion worth of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) projects planned or already in construction in Australia, the LNG sector represents a huge opportunity for our members,” said IICA Western Australia branch chairman Ernst Krauss. “Through the IICA zone at AOG 2014, our members will be able to connect with thousands of visitors and senior project and procurement managers at the helm of upcoming projects.”

Earlier this year, the organiser teamed up with the Federal and Western Australian Governments to launch the Australian Industry Zone, a new initiative to showcase the country’s oil and gas industry suppliers.
