Monaco International Clubbing Show attracts over 10,000 visitors

EUROPE - The organiser of the Monaco International Clubbing Show (MICS) has reported a 10 per cent rise in visitors at its fourth annual show.
 
The event, held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on 6-8 November, was attended by 10,873 visitors from 31 different countries, up from 9,867 visitors at the previous show. A total of 116 exhibiting brands showcased the latest trends and innovations in the industry to the audience of nightlife professionals.
 
A spokesman from MICS said the general consensus was that the show reached an important milestone and the overall quality of the audience improved sending “a positive signal that attests a resurgence of economic growth in a sector affected by the crisis.”
 
The show staged its second Hoster Buyers program with 100 nightclubs from 20 different nationalities taking part. According to the organiser, 1,008 meetings were organised during the three days.
 
Five conference programmes were held alongside the exhibition, featuring media specialist Dominique Wolton who discussed nightlife and challenges, and composer Joachim Garraud who shared his experience as a DJ producer.
