ASIA - Organiser Media 10 is launching a new event in China. Design Shanghai will be held at Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 27 February to 2 March 2014.
The firm currently organises the Shanghai Art Fair International Exhibition.
Design Shanghai will feature more than 150 world-renowned design brands, 90 per cent of which have never been seen before in China. The exhibition will be spread into Contemporary, Classic and Collectible halls, with an overall area of 10,000sqm.
More than 40,000 professionals including architects, interior designers, facilities managers, property developers and key decision makers from public and private sectors are expected to attend the four-day event.
Philip Dodd and his company Made in China (UK) originated the idea of Design Shanghai and brokered the deal with Media 10.
Made in China has worked with major Chinese companies such as China Merchants Group as well as UK government creative agencies and corporations.
Messe Frankfurt is moving its Yarn Expo Zone, part of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics - Spring Edition, to take place in Shanghai instead of Beijing.
