Exhibitor bookings reflect optimism for World Future Energy Summit

MIDDLE EAST - Reed Exhibitions has reported that 90 per cent of exhibition space has already been sold for the 7th World Future Energy Summit (WFES) next year.

Taking place on 20-22 January 2014 as a part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the summit will co-locate with the International Water Summit (IWS) and the inaugural EcoWaste 2014 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

This year’s WFES 2013 featured more than 650 companies from 40 countries, and WFES show director Naji El Haddad, is confident next year’s event will attract more exhibitors based on advanced bookings.

“Investment in renewable energy, particularly within the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, is growing as more and more governments and private partners commit to large-scale clean energy projects,” said El Haddad.

“The industry is strongly supported by governments that are committed to the development of clean energy sources to reduce their domestic reliance on fossil fuels,” he said.

According to Reed, 17 countries have committed to setting up national pavilions at WFES 2014 to showcase their country’s innovations including Germany, France, UK, USA, Singapore, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, China, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden, Kazakhstan and Norway.
