Reed claims more than 6,000 visitors at In-Cosmetics Asia

ASIA – Reed Exhibitions has reported an 18 per cent rise in international visitors at its recently held In-Cosmetics show in Bangkok.

More than 6,000 visitors attended the trade show, up 16 per cent from 2012, of which 2,285 were international attendees.

The organiser said around 360 exhibitors from more than 30 countries showcased their products and services on 29-31 October at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).

“Now in its sixth year, In-cosmetics Asia has created a Pan-Asian personal care community where the industry comes together both online and face-to-face at the show,” said event director Sarah Gibson. "This year’s event was another vibrant occasion with the quality of visitors higher than ever before, particularly from Japan and China, with senior level representatives from major manufacturers in attendance.”

Highlights of the show included the new Korea Country Focus which featured seminars in the Marketing Trends Theatre, the Innovation Zone showcasing 37 ingredient launches and the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Awards. The Educational Programme featured an analysis of markets, trends and formulation techniques as well as an insight into topics such as consumer segmentation, anti-ageing, cosmeceuticals, digital marketing and ethnic beauty.

The organiser hosted a pre-show trade event, Indonesia Roadshow, in August with the aim of attracting technical and research and development (R&D) visitors to In-Cosmetics. The one-day preview, held in Jakarta attracted 11 suppliers and more than 170 visitors.

Reed currently hosts editions of the show in Thailand and Italy, and has recently launched a show in Brazil. The next edition of In-Cosmetics Asia will take place on 4-6 November 2014.
