Messe Frankurt claims 14,420 visitors at combined textile shows

EUROPE - Messe Frankfurt has reported this year’s ApparelSourcing Paris and co-located show Texworld attracted 14,420 trade visitors from 104 countries.

“Just two years after its launch, ApparelSourcing Paris has succeeded in grouping all the offers for proximity or long-distance sourcing and in attracting numbers of quality visitors,” said Michael Scherpe, president of Messe Frankfurt France.

More than 1,000 exhibitors showcased their textile products and services on 16-19 September at Le Bourget Exhibition Centre, Paris.

The Texworld event expanded this year to include a new hall that hosted ‘the whole universe of womenswear’ as well as silk, knits, embroidery and printed fabrics. The second hall showcased menswear, functional textiles, sportswear, denim, wool, shirting and accessories.

“Texworld and ApparelSourcing create a dynamic environment which gives the textiles and clothing sector in Europe a sense of buoyancy and enhances the offer in Paris, making it more international,” said Olaf Schmidt, vice president of Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt. “The two shows are an inspiration.”
