Ahoy prepares for Europort 2013 in Rotterdam

EUROPE - The organiser of Europort is expecting more than 30,000 visitors from the global maritime and offshore industry to attend this year’s event.
 
The biennial show will take place on 5-8 November at Ahoy Rotterdam, under the ‘Pioneers in Maritime Technology’ theme.
 
According to the show organiser, Ahoy, around 1,000 companies from 39 countries will be exhibiting, with 45 per cent from international organisations.
 
Europort’s Advanced Technology Conference programme will feature during the four-day event, focusing on: Mega Yachts; Sea Shipping; Workboats; Offshore; Inland Navigation; and Construction Vessels.
 
The exhibition will also play host to Mare Forum, ‘the industry’s top level forum for exchanging ideas’. This year’s speakers include Joseph Cox president of the chamber of Shipping of America; George Gratsos president, chamber of Shipping in Greece, and Torsten Klimke from the European Commission’s Unit for Maritime Transport and Logistics.
 
The previous edition of Europort took place in 2011 and attracted 31,523 visitors and 1,023 exhibitors.
