Gear Expo reveals show growth

AMERICAS - The organiser of machinery show Gear Expo 2013 has hailed this year’s event a success, with attendance, exhibitors and exhibition space all increasing.
 
Owned by the American Gear Manufacturers Association, the biennial event took place on 17-19 September at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
 
The trade show dedicated to gear manufacturing processes attracted more than 3,400 visitors, up 11.8 per cent compared with 2011. A total of 219 exhibiting companies showcased their products, a 26 per cent increase from 2011, across 4,877sqm net show floor, which grew 29 per cent from the 2011 show.
 
“Gear Expo is a high-quality event focused on precision, power and partnerships,” said Andrew Ortale, executive vice president for National Trade Productions, responsible for operations and exhibit sales for the show.
 
“The event continues to deliver real strategic value as demonstrated by its significant achievements and expansion, and we anticipate even greater success in 2015.”
 
The next edition of Gear Expo will take place 20-22 October 2015, at the Cobo Center in Detroit.
