Australian Oil and Gas Expo unveils new show content

AUSTRALASIA - The organiser of the Australian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) has partnered with the Federal and Western Australian governments to launch a new expo initiative.

The Australian arm of Diversified Business Communications has revealed a new Australian Industry Zone will feature at AOG, to provide a platform for the nation's oil and gas manufacturers and service companies to display their latest technology and services.

“Australia has a vibrant sector of small to medium sized suppliers that are bringing new ideas to market in response to industry needs,” said Paul Johnson, the Australian Government’s Energy Supplier advocate.

“The Australian Industry Zone is one of the ways we are supporting these suppliers to showcase their capability and grow their business. It will allow project decision makers to interact with Australian firms in one convenient location on the main exhibition floor.”

According to the organiser, the new zone will support and showcase the technological breakthroughs taking place in Australia’s oil and gas supply industry, including the “lucrative” AUS$200 billion (US$191 billion) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market.

AOG will run on 19-21 February 2014 at Perth Exhibition Centre. The event will feature a graduate careers day and see the merging of the AOG Conference and the Subsea Australasia Conference. The organiser expects more than 15,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors to attend.

Earlier this year, the organiser received an international endorsement for the oil and gas event from UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
