Reed Midem launches retailtainment at MAPIC 2013

EUROPE - Reed’s Paris-based Midem division will be launching a retail shopping experience at its international property event MAPIC, due to the combined growth of shopping and entertainment in Europe.
 
According to the organiser, the 360° retail shopping experience, “retailtainment” will feature strongly at the event with a host of shopping centre entertainment specialists bringing their expertise in the MAPIC Innovation Forum.
 
"Improving the in-store experience is not just about adding technology devices,” said Nathalie Depetro, director of MAPIC. “It also involves arranging, staging, and promoting the brand experience.”
 
The Innovation Forum will feature a conference programme, an area where visitors can meet speakers at their demo-stations, and discover innovative technologies and solutions that shape the future of shops and shopping centres.
 
MAPIC will also feature exhibitors targeting all types of retail property including city and shopping centres, factory outlets, leisure areas and transit zones.
 
Last year’s event attracted more than 8,200 visitors and 730 exhibitors across 8,200sqm of exhibition space.
 
MAPIC 2013 will take place at Palais des Festivals, France on 13-15 November.
