Tarsus hails largest Labelexpo Europe in 33-year history

EUROPE - Organiser Tarsus has reported its Labelexpo Europe has broken records with visitor numbers and show floor size in its 33-year history.

The biennial label and package printing show took place on 24-27 September and spanned 31,000sqm across seven exhibition halls for the first time at Brussels Expo.

Labelexpo Europe attracted an 11 per cent rise in visitors with 31,795 attendees, up from 28,636 in 2011. The number of exhibitors also rose from 550 in 2011 to 600 this year.

“We’ve again had excellent feedback from exhibitors underlining that Labelexpo Europe is the show to secure significant sales with numerous reports of many presses being sold,” said managing director of Labelexpo Global Series, Lisa Milburn (pictured).

“Seeing our manufacturers and suppliers making sales here confirms that Labelexpo Europe is the best-selling platform in the label and package printing industry with printers prepared to spend high on capital equipment.”

New to this year’s show was the Package Printing Workshop which showcased the opportunities both digital and conventional printing can bring to folding carton, lid laminate and stand up pouch decoration.

According to the organiser, by the end of the show, 86 per cent of exhibition space had already been rebooked for the 2015 edition - the highest ever onsite rebook rate.

Tarsus has launched an Indonesian edition of its Labelexpo Global Series, aiming to tap into the fast growing Indonesian and Southeast Asian label and packaging printing market. The show will take place on 26-28 May 2014 at the Jakarta International Expo.
