Fully booked catering expo for Hamburg Messe in 2014

EUROPE - Venue and organiser Hamburg Messe has reported its catering and food service exhibition is fully booked, more than six months ahead of opening.

The organiser said more than 1,200 exhibitors will be at Internorga from 14 to 19 March 2014, presenting product developments for hotels, food service, institutional catering, bakery and confectionery. In 2013, the show had 1,100 companies exhibiting.

“What is so special about Internorga is the way it combines a uniquely varied range of exhibits with presentation of all the trends and innovations for the whole of the out-of-home market,” said Bernd Aufderheide, president and CEO at Hamburg Messe.

The LiquID Bar, the SKYWALK Table and the Trendforum Pink Cube will expand in the 2014 show, due to visitor waiting lists being already booked for next year.

The conference programme will also return to the show, featuring two dedicated conferences – the German Congress for Institutional Catering, and the International Foodservice Forum.

“Internorga is the gateway to this industry. We are determined to live up to our reputation as the leading industry event every year, and regularly review how we organise Internorga, developing new ideas and formats,” said Aufderheide.

The organiser expects to surpass the 90,000 visitor attendance at this year’s show, with 100,000 in 2014.
