Dive Expo and Watersports Show returns to South Africa

AFRICA - Biz Events is aiming to make a splash at the Coca Cola Dome, Johannesburg this week with the return of its Dive Expo and Watersports Show.

The South African-based organiser expects the watersports and leisure show to attract more than 30,000 visitors on 16-18 August, showcasing 250 products and services including leisure craft, fishing craft, sailboats, yachts, catamarans, motor yachts, scuba diving and waterfront properties.

The Tourism Malaysia Scuba Diving workshops will be presented in partnership with Divestyle Magazine, featuring some of South Africa’s leading technical divers, including Nuno Gomes, Johan Boshoff, Barry Coleman and Chris Serfontein.

The event will also feature ‘Diving through the Decades’ celebrating 50 years of diving product museum, hosted by diving product, Scubapro. It will feature a workshop area where visitors can view the inside and workings of regulators, learn more about technical diving and hear from some of top conservationists from around the world.

“The prime event is for true scuba diving enthusiasts, as well as non-divers of all ages who should be tempted to take their first steps toward experiencing the ultimate underwater utopia,” said a spokesman from the organiser.

Screen and digital printing association FESPA is expanding its global event portfolio with the launch of a new African event in Johannesburg.
