Via Expo prepares for LiftBalkans rise in 2014

EUROPE - Bulgaria’s Via Expo is returning to the South-East European Eco Forum and Exhibition with its co-located LiftBalkans event in 2014.

The show will be held on 5-7 March 2014 at the Inter Expo Center, Bulgaria, and the organisers claim LiftBalkans is the only event in Bulgaria devoted to elevators, escalators, components and accessories, monitoring and safety systems.

The show is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors, up from 4,845 in 2013. The number of exhibitors is also expected to rise from 148 in 2013, to more than 150.

“Targeted to the Balkans, the aim of the event is to connect the participants with their potential partners and clients: Investors, architects, facility managers, building contractors,” said a spokesman from the organiser.

“The big potential of the lift branch in Bulgaria is a good possibility for foreign companies to explore and step on the market, in the next 10 years 80,000 lifts in Bulgaria will have to be changed or repaired.”

The event will feature exhibitor presentations, parallel forums, panel discussions and networking events focused on architecture and construction, engineering, automation, waste management and recycling.

Tarsus recently reported a revenue rise in Europe, with particularly strong contributions coming from events including Asansor, also focusing on the lift industry.
